Find answers to common questions about using GenTrack.ai
How do I add a new brand to track?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Brands, click 'Add Brand', enter your brand name and domain. GenTrack will immediately start tracking mentions across all configured AI engines.
How often does GenTrack check AI engines?
GenTrack runs continuous monitoring with rolling queries every 3 minutes across all active prompts. Daily aggregated metrics are computed at 2:00 AM UTC.
Why isn't my brand showing mentions yet?
New brands typically need 24-48 hours for the first full monitoring cycle to complete. If no mentions appear after 48 hours, consider adding more category-relevant prompts or checking that your brand name is spelled exactly as AI engines would reference it.
How do I add custom prompts to track?
Navigate to Dashboard → Prompts → Add Prompt. Enter prompts that users might ask AI engines in your category. For best results, use natural language questions like 'What are the best [category] tools?'
Can I track competitors?
Yes. GenTrack automatically detects competitor mentions in the same AI responses where your brand appears. You can also manually add competitor brands for dedicated tracking.
How do I interpret the Mention Rate metric?
Mention Rate shows what percentage of tracked prompts result in your brand being mentioned by AI engines. A 30% mention rate means your brand appears in roughly 1 out of 3 AI responses for your tracked queries.
What does AI Share of Voice mean?
AI Share of Voice measures your brand's mention frequency relative to competitors in the same category. If you have 40% Share of Voice, it means your brand is mentioned in 40% of all brand mentions across tracked prompts.
How can I improve my brand's AI visibility?
Focus on creating authoritative, structured content that AI engines prefer to cite. Key strategies include: maintaining up-to-date product pages, publishing expert content in your category, getting mentioned on review sites, and ensuring your website has clear schema markup.
